Begone, Ye Skinny Bitch by Miz Pink

(Asked Deke if I could take his place today to make up for my absence the past couple Tuesdays. So here I am though horendously late)

ann_coulterOkay I’m sure you have all noticed that I don’t really swear unlike the good Deke. Well mostly not anyway. But my headline is really the only way to say it: Ann Coulter is a bitch. A dangerous one at that in my opinion. She fans ideological flames for no more reason then to watch everything burn. She doesn’t care about logic or fairness or anything else except her own opinion even when it’s dead wrong and obviously so.

The “Today Show” had cancelled her appearance earlier this week and then rebooked her in a spineless show of weakness. Matt Lauer got a couple licks in but still, this woman should not be getting the attention. She is mean-spirited and useless. I want to break her anorexic body in half and heave it into the Grand Canyon. When I see her I am ashamed to share the same gender and religion as her.

And o God, the religion. I did a little poking around on Wikipedia to see what makes her tick, and here’s one of the few things I agree with with her:

Coulter says that she holds Christian beliefs, but has not declared her membership in any particular denomination; she has mentioned that her father was Catholic while her mother was not. At one public lecture she said: “I don’t care about anything else: Christ died for my sins and nothing else matters.”

So THAT I agree with. However, there is her insistence on believing in the most absurd parts of Christian dogma and this little gem from a 2004 column of hers apparently:

she summarized her view of Christianity: “Jesus’ distinctive message was: People are sinful and need to be redeemed, and this is your lucky day because I’m here to redeem you even though you don’t deserve it, and I have to get the crap kicked out of me to do it.” She then mocked “the message of Jesus … according to liberals,” summarising it as “…something along the lines of ‘be nice to people’,” which, in turn, she said “is, in fact, one of the incidental tenets of Christianity”.

I’m not saying Jesus didn’t think we were sinful. Clearly he did. But at what point did he go wandering around with the attitude you are sooooo lucky to have me around…when did he hit people with the nasty you don’t deserve it note…and when did he make it a point to whine (or brag) that he was going to get himself tore up from the floor up? That’s right: Never. She paints Jesus as a macho, shallow so-and-so and while he certainly had his bouts of sarcasm and anger, he wasn’t petty.

Oh, and this bit from one of her columns right after the 9/11 attacks:

We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity.

We should what??????? Go in with guns blazing and force them to pick Jesus at the point of a rifle? Does she really worship Jesus or some Rambo Jesus she made up?

The depths of my loathing for this woman are endless. As a Christian I shouldn’t let someone get to me like that or harbor ill will toward them. I’ll try to work on that. But for now, after she spent the past 8 years whining about how the “liberal media” was walking all over the conservatives even though the media basically let them get away with murder…well, I’m hoping to see the liberal media finally REALLY put a smack down on this heffer.

I should be so lucky. I won’t hold my breath though.

    Hi Miz Pink,

Years ago I used to think that Ann Coulter was funny and right on on her descriptions of the loyal opposition. Then one day I was reading something she had wrote and I had the thought; “This is bullcrap, This woman is crazy and evil.” I still wonder why it took me so long to see the truth about her.

Hey if someone’s got personality or wit or charm or good looks or is just engaging, that goes a long way toward masking their issues. Lord knows thats how I ended up in my first marriage.

I think there are plenty of commentators and celebrities and mouthpieces out there who are very good at entertaining us and packaging their messages. Their points sound good because the make a pretty little package to stuff them into.

As they get more fame and attention though I think a lot of them start believeing their own crap doesn’t smell bad and they start getting more extreme and sloppy and suddenly their “Crazy” just pops out.
