Just a quick post tonight. I’m dealing with stuff right now. How to be a better parent. A house full of people under varying levels of assault by a virus. The future (if any) of my career. Reconnecting with Mrs. Blue in a meaningful way that doesn’t involve just co-parenthood. What to do with my life in the event my career doesn’t have a future.
So, my mental energies aren’t where they should be for a real post. Instead, let me share the wisdom of another, something that I think pertains to many of my own personal travails right now:
Perseverance is more prevailing than violence; and many things which cannot be overcome when they are together, yield themselves up when taken little by little. – Plutarch
And I’ll just mash that together with some wisdom from the Bible, courtesy of James—”Faith without works is dead, being alone.”—and we’ll call that my mission statement for getting shit back on track in life.
Your prayers are welcome. If you don’t have prayers, I’ll take your psychic well-wishings (or any leads you might have on good freelance writing or editing opportunities).
