I noticed this image today in my slush pile of potential pics to use around here, and all I could think of, was, Damn, this just makes me think of the GOP, particularly the neo-con wing of the party:
I mean, with the batshit crazy theories they’re trotting out lately and the crazed rhetoric, I just try to imagine the shoe being on the other foot.
But the fact is, as crazy as the far left can get, the only folks in that camp that match the nuttiness in the GOP, right wing blogs, and conservative talk shows these days are the folks at PETA. What the hell have they put in the Kool-Aid in those GOP and conservative think-tank meetings lately?
Hey, the neo-cons were always crazy. It’s just that when they had all the power and their own special propaganda netword (Faux News), folks thought they saw a burning cross in the sky and heard a voice thundering, and bought the insanity. Blind faith in political ideology gets people into trouble at least as bad as blind faith in religion…
So, I guess what we’re witnessing now is a mass neo-con nervous breakdown as they try (and fail) to deal with losing their control.
